Glass Candy

OK to take a break from current stuff, I bring you Glass Candy.
Well to make it current, their label Italians do it Better Records has re-upped this stuff to Youtube, last month. So recent that is, and the label is still putting out good synth wave italo disco electronica music.
Glass Candy is from Portland. They started in the early 2000s as a standard garage rock band, with a danceable drum beat, like Franz Ferdinand but angsty female vocals.

Then they got into electronics, as so did everybody. The tracks below come from 2006, that exact split point when it went from homely looking hipsters and girls with Lena Dunham bodies to djs making remixes on laptops in their bedrooms for dance floors with actual hot girls there. Of course that fed us Coachella, but that's for another time.

I'm on and off subscribed to this channel. The problem is too many haul videos. A haul video shows what some body picked up at a garage sale, thrift store, wholesale crate, etc.

Tips for Suceeding at an audition

These tips can also be applied to other facets of your life

 

Not all of the points were read in this video, however explanations are included

• Non-iconic role for the audition
• No graphic language nor violence in dialogue
• Type of acting is in a large range- get to know yourself!
• 60-90 seconds length
• Dramatic play- no novel and keep it current (1940s to present) or classic (Greek, Shakespeare, etc.)
• Monologues need good transitions
• Read the whole scene at the monologue
• Choose a strong character over a victim
• Be active in movements
• For backup, bring a song, 16 bars, either or both super slow and fast
• Basic research of the play auditioning for
• Props brought, just in case
• Avoid an accent, especially a bad accent not related to the role
• Do not rush the introduction
• Have a good day mentality, look the director in the eye
• When leaving the stage, look at one final time the directors and recruiters
• Accent whom you are talking to: give idea of how many times you've told the story
• Use active present verbs: happens
• Use emotional contrasts, to show your range
• Look paralell from the stage, prefer within eye level of casters
• Crescendo of points as made
• An exclamation over a pause to symbolize a conversation
• Use body language to show your focus
• Show more reaction with face fully observed and script mainly at waist level
• In confrontations, decide step by step or walking forward
• When referencing God, look at upper level

mgk rap devil reaction by two black guys. Eh I thought these 2 were gonna laugh at how dumb this was, but instead the video adds context to this feud that I was never aware of. At least they acknowledge Eminem's career is over, though was it a secret?

Eminem could have bowed out of the mainstream but chose not to.

First, that I am aware of, he makes an anti-Trump song that reeks of desperation. 

Then this skinny emocore rapper goes after him and owns him.

This album is Dice's "avant garde" live recording, on Christmas Eve to an audience seeing advertising put out 24 hours before the gig. Awkward silences, sexist comments and some misogyny too, threats to audience members, people walking out, hecklers, etc.

I tried to look for this on one of many blogs that a decade ago had it for download via Mediafire.

This CD is hard to find, hence the prices at sites such as this:
